Our story

Black Cat Artisan Goods started in our Tennessee kitchen, with one big pot, a stick blender, and a list of essential oils I'd been collecting for years. What began as soap-for-the-family became soap-for-the-neighbors, then soap-for-strangers-at-the-market — and somewhere along the way it became a real little business.

I make every bar by hand, in batches small enough that I know each one personally. I cure them on shelves in our home for at least four weeks before they ever see a box. I use real ingredients — saponified olive, coconut, shea, and castor oils, real essential oils, real botanicals, even local Tennessee raw honey — never synthetic fragrance or color.
